Most Frequently Asked Questions
(Q) Are there any days where tee times are required?
(A) Oceanside country Club does not use tee times. I would recommend that you call the Pro Shop about the busy times of the week or to make sure there is nothing going on that would restrict you from playing.
(Q) How do we know in advance what is going on at the club?
(A) We have a monthly newsletter that has all the upcoming events and functions, email blasts, Clubster, a member only app as well as the club website, OCC1907.com.
(Q) Are there any days where there are restrictions on playing?
(A) There are no restricted playing times, unless there is a scheduled event.
(Q) What are the hours of operation?
(A) Please refer to the Golf section of the Breezes newsletter for the most up to date information.
(Q) What days of the week can I walk?
(A) Walking is allowed any time of the day and week.
(Q) Should I call in advance if I am bringing a guest?
(A) You do not need to call if you are bringing a guest. I recommend that you call if you think your guest might arrive before you. This will allow us to welcome them and make sure that he or she is taken care of before you arrive.
(Q) Before I go out to play do I need to check in?
(A) We would like all the members to check in before playing. This helps us know who is on the course and also keeps incorrect charges to a minimum.
(Q) Do you have a Men’s and Ladies' association?
(A) Oceanside has an active 18 and 9 hole ladies’ association. We also have a very active tournament schedule for the men.
(Q) Do you have tournaments designed for all skill levels?
(A) The golf staff along with the golf committee puts together a very active tournament calendar for all levels of golfers.
(Q) Who teaches and how do I set up a lesson?
(A) The PGA Professional staff gives the lessons. This includes private and group instruction. There are men’s, ladies’, and junior clinics weekly.
(Q) How do I establish a handicap?
(A) If you are coming from another club we will call and get your scores to enter into our system. If you have never had a handicap before it is very easy to start you one. Just come to the Pro Shop and we will be more than happy to assist you in starting one.
(Q) How do I sign up for bag storage?
(A) All you have to do is just inform the Pro Shop that you would like to start storing your clubs. Just leave your clubs and we will take care of the rest. Your account will be charged accordingly.
(Q) How do I get a locker?
(A) Just inform the Pro Shop that you would like a locker. We will check the availability of the lockers and assign you a number.
